Make a difference

The pandemic has heightened the need for fresh and available food, leading to an increase in the number of households that are food insecure in the St. Croix Valley. In the midst of these challenging times, we have also witnessed an amazing increase in pet ownership. Many of us have yearned for the extra comfort and support that is often found in a loving canine companion. The Hudson Daybreak Rotary Club is bringing these two elements together for the Rotary Ruff-Ruff, an event focused on bringing our community together to fuel the St. Croix Valley Food Bank, celebrate our pets, and promote healthy activity outdoors!  

How It Works

The "Rotary Ruff-Ruff" takes place May 1 - June 5 and anyone can help! Participants choose a pet-related activity such as dog walking, pet bathing, or walking a neighbor's pet, obtain pledges from friends & family, and then complete the activities.  Or you can simply use your pets to encourage donations for this important community need. Either way, participants track their individual results and are eligible to win prizes for the top fundraisers.  

All participants will receive a commemorative "Rotary Ruff-Ruff" collar tag and we have some awesome prizes for the top three community fundraisers:

Where do the proceeds go?

Fundraising proceeds will benefit the St. Croix Valley Food Bank in an effort to end hunger in Western Wisconsin. A portion of the dollars raised will be used to procure pet food that will also be available at the St. Croix Valley Food Bank for needy families with pets. Any money raised surpassing the initial goal will be used to support other Hudson area non-profit organizations.
