International Grant Update

Nov 05, 2025 7:00 AM

Please join us for an update on the international grant to upgrade the medical facilities at BKL Walawalkar Hospital, Dervan, Ratnagiri district, Chiplun, India.

Founded by Shri Vithalrao Joshi Charities Trust, BKL Walawalkar Hospital is a multispecialty tertiary care institution. The hospital has a 25-year legacy of providing community-based health care with a special focus on underserved communities impacted by poverty, malnutrition, limited literacy, and social taboos. The Stillwater Sunrise Rotary and the Pune Tilak Road Rotary clubs submitted an international grant to upgrade and expand the hospital's diagnostic and surgical equipment, enabling the hospital to serve approximately 2,500 additional patients per year.

Margie is a retired CPA with a passion for The Rotary Foundation and currently serves as the District Rotary Foundation Chair. With a special interest in global and district grants, Margie takes great joy in helping clubs get their grant ideas off the ground and into communities where they can make a real difference in the daily lives of those served.

Expanding our Visioning Work

Dec 03, 2025 7:00 AM

We need you at this week’s meeting as we plan for our Club’s future! When you enter the room, look for the table with the topic you’d like to focus on and collaborate with some like-minded Rotarians. The 5 different topics you can choose from include:

  • Recreate Membership and Retention Committee
  • Work towards net 20 new members by 2028
  • Research youth needs through Developmental Assets model
  • Assess existing community surveys to set direction towards a signature project
  • Enhancing Public Image

Each table will work with the table captain to create an Action Plan for your topic, outlining the steps, the people responsible, and the goal deadlines.

The St. Croix Riverway

Dec 10, 2025 7:00 AM

This program will highlight how the St. Croix Riverway isn’t just water and wilderness. It’s a legacy of care and an enduring reminder that today's choices are tomorrow's inheritance. Nate is a park ranger with the National Park Service and is currently serving as the Director of Communications and Education for St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. Over the years, he has served in national parks across the country—from the rugged gold rush trails of Alaska’s Klondike to the windswept shores of North Carolina’s Outer Banks. In each place, his work has focused on connecting people to the stories, settings, and enduring values that reveal our national parks as core components of our national identity.

Standing Out as Your Outperforming Best

Dec 17, 2025 7:00 AM

Today’s world is different. It’s full of unpredictability, competition, cynicism, and distraction. How do you rise above it, focus on what matters, and stand out as your Outperforming best? Outperformers are not born; they’re made. We ALL have the capacity to “raise our game,” and Scott Welle has spent 20+ years helping people do this, personally and professionally. Scott’s 10 best-selling books, articles, videos, podcasts, and online programs inspire millions of people worldwide. He has a Master’s degree in Sport Psychology and was named the 2021 Midwest Motivational Speaker of the Year. For “fun” (and because he’s kinda crazy!), he’s completed 34 marathons, 5 Ironman triathlons, a 100-mile ultra marathon, and serves others by showing them how to challenge their self-limiting beliefs and aspire to Outperform every day.

Celebration & Reflection

Feb 04, 2026 7:00 AM

Join us at our next Hudson Daybreak Rotary meeting as we celebrate an exciting community honor! The Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce has recognized both Hudson Rotary Clubs as the Nonprofit Organizations of the Year, highlighting the impact Rotary continues to make through service, leadership, and community partnership. We will take time to celebrate this shared achievement and the many hands and hearts that make our work possible.

In addition, we’ll be extending our Happy Bucks time so that each member has the opportunity to share a few words on the theme: “What Rotary Means to Me.” Whether Rotary represents service, fellowship, purpose, or lifelong friendships, we look forward to hearing your reflections and celebrating together.

Come ready to be inspired—and proud of what Rotary is accomplishing in Hudson!
