The Hudson Rotary Clubs recognize the graduating seniors for their academic achievements with an Honors Breakfast. This program recognizes those Hudson High School Students who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 10.0 during their high school tenure. A student’s parents are also invited to this event. A speaker addresses the honored students, and then Principal Lucas awards the students with a recognition pin or letter.
The Rotary Academic Honors Breakfast took place on April 21, 2010 at 6:30 a.m. at the Hudson House. The Honors Breakfast is held to present the Hudson High School Academic Awards as well as the Rotary Scholarship Awards. The guest speaker for the event was two time Olympic Athlete Karyn Bye-Dietz who spoke on the topic “Trailblazing for Success”. Bye-Dietz was the alternate captain of the 1998 Nagano, Japan Winter Olympics gold-medal winning U.S. Women's Hockey Team and played for the U.S. Women’s team in the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. She has been a member of the US National Team since 1992.
