Pack for Feed My Staving Children

HUDSON, WISCONSIN - May 24, 2010
Small

Members of Daybreak Rotary, with some family members, and members of the HHS football team helped the St Paul Rotary Club pack food for Feed My Starving Children as part of the celebration of their 100th anniversary as a Rotary Club. Their goal was to pack 100,000 meals on Friday and Saturday, May 21 and 22. Their goal was achieved as their teams packed 114,480 meals -- enough to feed 313+ children for one year. On the shift that the Daybreak team worked on Saturday, we helped pack 14,256 meals or enough meals to feed 39 children for one year. During the two days of the St Paul Rotary's packing 486 volunteers helped with the packing of the 114,480 meals.

Thanks to all the Rotarians and their families who helped with the joint project with the St Paul Rotary Club.  A special thanks to the Hudson High school football team members who also worked on the project with us.  Coach Kowles and Principal Ed Lucas worked to help set up their particiapation with our Club.  A BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED!!
